I've started receiving calls from this number twice a day. No message left. It appears to be a number from my hometown but is also showing as Lynchburg Va. I just want the calls to stop.

I got a call from this number, too. Guessing it is political???

This number calls once a day and says nothing when I answer. Next step... BLOCKED!!! Bitchez

Hi, I am a VA resident and I get a call from this number like every 2 or 3 days; I never answer thanks to www.800notes.com nor do they leave a VM nor does it show up on my caller ID.

Received a call, no message left.

I called the real Virginia State Police Association in Richmond, VA. Very nice people. I was told that the only solicitor they use is Ven-tel (www.ven-tel.com). Anyone else is doing so without their authorization.

No CID, didn't answer, no message left.

I received a call from this number about an hour ago. Based on the postings, I blocked it. Just a few minutes ago, a call came in from the same number, but with "Emporia," listed as the caller. The call wasn't blocked because of the new ID name. I have a system that will block 100 phone numbers, so it, too, will be blocked. Ah, technology. A curse and a blessing.

Received numerous calls from 434-336 3166 and 434-336 3164 both from Emporia, VA at all hours of the day. I answered once and the male caller said my name, and I asked who was calling - he hung up. It's a shame/crime that the telephone providers and our government can monitor every phone call made in the USA and overseas, but they can't or will not monitor these numbers and stop this crap!!! What happened to the federal and state DNC lists?
