I hesitated to answer with that crazy phone number. He had a thick middle eastern accent. He asked if he could talk to me, using my name. When I replied with "this is he" I followed immediately with "may I ask what this is regarding?" He hung up. Shady.

Called my work and asked for me by name also. Mispronounced my name as only a foreigner would. As soon as I responded "Uh, that's me..." he said "Thank you." and hung up. He may have been hoping for a "Yes" so he could use it as "proof" that I "agreed" to buy something.

Same deal. Guy with Asian accent calls my direct office line, asks me twice if I am Mike, then disconnects.

Thick Indian accent guy calling my work asking for me and saying he is from O'Brien's Law Firm.... then hung up

Male with a middle eastern or Indian accent called my work at 3:32pm and asked for me by full name. I said 'this is she'. He asked 'Is this a direct line?' I answered, 'yes', and he immediately hung up. Got to be up to NO good.

Some guy with what sounded like a thick Indian accent, asked for a totally random name which was not mine and asked more questions after but I couldn’t understand his non english speaking ass. I don’t have a San Diego number or even a west coast number so definitely weird. Hung up after getting frustrated with trying to understand. I usually pretend to try to sell something back to scammers and ask them to buy my Earwax candles or something.

Non English speaker tried to ask for me by a butchered version of my name. Obvious scam.

Called my work and asked for me by name. He said he was from GMC Financial but I do not have loans with them. When he asked if I was (insert my name) and I said yes, he hung up. Very strange.

Called my work phone and ask for me by name. Receptionist put him on hold stated he had a thick accent said he was from Children's hospital. He hung up when I picked up the call.
