Not sure if this number is being spoofed by scammers or if folks posted here are just not doing due diligence. Either way, this is legit from ScotiaBank. If you get a call from this number hang up and call the number on the back of your *Credit Card* and let them know you got a fraud call. If you call 18004SCOTIA they can only see fraud notes on your debit card, so I think that's part of the reason people post here saying they were told there was no fraud.
It is Scotia Bank verifying a visa application. This is legitimate.
Rec'd call robot from Scotiabank asking me to press 1 if I was the person stated or press 2 for no. Hung up and called 18004scotia. They stated no one had called me, the number was not one of the it's and most likely a scam
This call originates from Scotiabank Office of the President and they call you if you have recently escalated a concern or your credit card has been potentially misuse.
This is Scotiabank Office of the President, not a collection call or anything. It's regarding customer escalations
This is not a SCOTIA # but a VISA # for credit card fraud.
The call is from scotia Bank security advising of an issue with your account in some capacityy
