Got a missed call from this number. Listed as Scotiabank. It left a voice mail to call 1-800-290-2654. Also stating this was not a scam or telemarketing and it's real. That's a red flag! Not going to call that because I'm just going to call the official Scotiabank number on the back of my cards. Sounds like a scam.
Woke up to a voicemail from this number which showed it originated in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was an automated female voice and it said, "This is Scotia Bank calling and this is not a sales call. We have an important message for Miss Xxxx Xxxxx regarding their account. Please contact Scotia Bank at 1-800-290-2654 and we stress the importance of speaking with you. To hear this message again please press star. Thank you. Goodbye."I called ScotiaBank using their real number and was informed there was nothing on my account to say they had called or that there was a message that I needed to speak to them. IT IS A SCAM!
The call is legit about a possible security breach, but call them back using the 1-800 number on the back of the credit card. Scotiabank only uses 1-800 numbers. I got the automated voice mail yesterday. I called the 1-800 number on my card and i was informed that someone was trying to use my card to purchase tickets from Ticketmaster.
this is a real number, they called me earlier today to ask if i was logged onto my account as it was saying i was in the states buying plane tickets - and i was in fact buying tickets on my work computer which is linked in the states. This is not a scam
This was a legit call for me. It was a Toronto number. They left me a voicemail about a charge I had disputed on my Scotiabank Visa and asked me to call the 1-800 number for dispute services, which I did.
i received 2 calls from this number today and when i answered my phone no one was on the other side .. just silence ... what is that?
It was scotiabank. Called the number on back of cc. They wanted to confirm if I made charges with my card
It's the Scotiabank fraud department. Called to ask if I was out of the country... I am not.
Called my cellphone. I did not answer. No message left. Regarding Scotia bank in above comments ... I do not have any accounts nor credit cards with them.
Legit call from Scotia Visa security.

"Greater Nevada Credit Union Fraud Prevention" called and left message. We called bank directly, no prob with our cards or account. Incidentally, we always get a bunch of scam calls after posting something to Craigs List or FB Market Place.

This number comes up as a match to my name on Microsoft search results, and with a different age than MY true age. There is no other ME who has the same first, middle and last name spelled like this that I EVER came across. It's definitely a scam!

SCAM - Caller with Indian accent claimed to be calling from Barclays credit card fraud department. Asked for personal information. Just hang up.
This number made an unauthorized charge on my PAYPAL account. I had no dealings with them.
Scam. No one talk they are looking to see if it's someone's. Scam scam
Unwanted, unknown caller....didn't answer, no message left. Unknown intentions of call. Phone provider showed it as "spam?".

They did the same thing to me. Called me from 770-557-3001 that is a disconnected number from UPS that tells you to call 800-742-5877, However, the indian male left vm to call (866) 706-6894, this is unsettling to me as well because they couldn't ... read more
