Just rec'd a call from this #. Caller ID said Barlett Inc. I didn't answer it and my msg center is out of order. They hung up after 15 rings or so. I refuse to answer #'s I don't recognize anymore. Waist of my time.

I received a call from this number on my cell, which is on the DNC list since 2009. The presumably Eastern European accented man wouldn't supply a company name. His spiel was, "You were specially selected for a low APR credit card." I demanded to know the name of the company calling and have my number placed on their DNC list. As usual, they disconnected when I made this demand. I can speculate that this was a scam call, just like many others speculate. Simply, we all are speculating. Regardless, report these calls to the FTC. The more it is reported, the more likely the FTC will place a higher priority on it. Further, as we witness the news concerning Snowden, we should begin to realize that the US government has means to track down degenerates, like the ones calling us (Although, I do find such powers of the US government as disconcerting.).

I didn't answer but I will file a complaint on the do not call list anyway. Maybe some day they will do something to prevent them!

If others, such as yourself and I, used the method of wasting the "card services" scammer's time, they would soon learn the calls to their number would stop.

The Feds are (do not call, TTC) useless. Forget 'em; take care of it yourself. Block the calls yourself. Most land line services have a method to do it, and nearly all cell providers do, too. I have an LG Rumor Reflex (not a "smart" phone) on Sprint. I can use either my phone or Sprint's blocking capability. Call *2 on Sprint and request a block. As for your cell, read the instructions. I currently have over 50 text and voice numbers blocked.
