United Healthcare home visit call. Told Helga (who sounded a bit unhinged) I did not need or want a home visit and she got really pushy letting me know that our call had been recorded. Hope it was and they take Broom Hilda's phone away from her. If that was a sales call, no one is going to take them up. By the way, I will bet whoever they send will be asking questions far outside medical issues.
I'm always suspicious but this is actually a "real" call from your healthcare provider. Odds are, you may have received a piece of mail from them regarding a Wellness home visit. It's free - where a nurse or something to that effect, comes to your home free of charge and well, whatta ya think? Checks your health! lol Many times, this is used for the elderly or disabled and is quite helpful for those that cannot get around easily - consider those without cars or in areas where doctors aren't easily available. Anywho, do you get mail from UHC offering to give you free Amazon gift cards if you'll just get off your rear end and go to the doc? Well, same thing here except it cost them even more then giving you a gift card. In the end, they save money as do you - it's like preventive maintenance on a car. If you don't let it break... So, there you go. So yeah, in a way, it's spam. but not really. For what it's worth.
It was about a House calls "program." Scam, probably like Colonial Penn peddling insurance as a "program."
Got call at 12:58 today. It is House Calls (united health care) They also use 443-492-2800 and 443-492-2802. They probably got tired of my blocker's recorded message on those numbers
United Health Care (my Medicare Supplemental carrier) wanting to visit you in your home. I suspect they want to find out about your lifestyle, and if they don't like what they find, to drop you like a piece of ant-infested fruit.
Do you work for them? I have told them to remove my name from their list numerous times, but they just keep calling. I don't want to let anyone in my home that I have not invited. Scam all the way. They are not doing this for good will, they want to rob you or scam you.
