These people are driving me up the wall! I do not have call block in my area, and they wake me up almost every morning, after no sleep in a care giving situation. I cannot take my phone off hook because of a heart monitor device. Somebody please help!
Called, left no message and I came here to see if there was any information on this number. After reading the other responses I blocked the number. Probably a scam for "YES" or a fake political donation...
2 ring hang up. did NOT leave message on answer tape. Have caller ID land line. NEVER answer phone. If they do NOT leave a message or even if they do be extremely cautious. scammers are everywhere. Thanks for responses above. TRUST BUT VERIFY!
There were warnings posted on this website under Latest News in the past, and then I read articles in a reputable, real-life newspaper in the last month or two. And whether one decides the story is true or not, "better to be safe than sorry." It's a plausible scam nowadays, that was more useful right after the election, preying upon those feeling disenfranchised and unheard by government. Now, it's just old. Instead of splitting hairs and demanding proof, which would be extremely hard to come by since there are so many untraceable scammers, why not just use good sense, assume it might be true, and ignore the call after seeing the CID, or avoid saying "yes," then disconnect. "Better safe than sorry" doesn't require proof, just good sense. And please, would ask you to avoid using the collective "us" in your demands, since "we" may not appreciate you speaking for "us" since "we" can speak and enquire for "ourselves." Using "us" could be seen as an intimidation tactic, one used by old-school professors in past times to lend themselves authority by putting students publicly on the spot in the classroom. I'm sure you don't intend that... do you, Mr. Heinz. This website discourages trolling, which is why I love it, the courtesy, goodwill and mutual support, the absence of malice, and I've seen your entries elsewhere on this website, contradicting folks the same way. Please don't speak for me. I believe the yes-scam to be probable, and in any event worth avoiding calls with this CID. So much easier than needing proof! Thank you so much! :)
Robot call from "Informed Electo" wanted me to answer a political question with a single yes or no. I remembered the yes scam and just hung up.
No message because i cannot answer a phone.. The phone number they called is associated with my computer service and i do not have a phone connected to it, but lists numbers called from, so i can block the numbers.. . You can call alll you want. .Gotcha scammer. Now take that and smoke it. .He he..
Called this AM. The caller ID said Informed Electorate. Before the answering machine could even kick on, a recorded voice said "This is a one question survey. Please answer yes or no: Did you vote in the last presidential election? Needless to say, I didn't pick up and will not be calling them back.
