These people are fishing to get information, aparently the real Microchip company put a letter to advise people they are using this company name. Do not answer or if you receive a letter not log in the fake are stealing personal information. Be careful.

My call was about getting a home security system - press 2 to be removed - but they continue to call.... blocked

My caller ID said it was from Microchip Tech

Recorded message from our dear friend Rachel about how we could lower our credit card interest rate. Apparently from other posts on this page here they're using the same number as some scammers who are doing different kinds of fraud. If so, blocking this number might really be good.Anyway I pressed "1" and got the crook to talk to me. He asked how I was doing and I said OK. Apparently he didn't like the sound of my voice, so he stopped talking and after a bit the line went dead. Or maybe he realized that I was going to jack him around instead of giving him my credit card number.

I dialed "1." After a minute or so on call waiting, the representative came on and asked if I wanted to lower my interest rate. I said, "Yeah."She must not have like the sound of my voice because she stopped talking and the line went dead. Maybe she has had enough experience as a telemarketer to realize I was probably going to jack her around. I guess I'm going to need to work on my tone of voice.

I Have asked multiple times for them to stop calling.They have not stop yet just got another call from this number

Came up as Microchip Tech. No message. Blocked the number.
