I let the machine play all the way through and when i got to a person. I kindly asked to be removed from the calling list. In return I was greeted with a with a person giving me a bad attitude. WOW I guess I am glade I didn't sign up with anything they wanted to sell me.
The recorded message was about lowering my debt (that I don't have). I waited until the message finished, then pushed 1 for a person to talk to. April answered and I asked very politely to be removed from the call list. She said, "Sorry I can't do that!" and hung up on me.
I should check this post before click on the "speak to representative" option on my phone! Very bad attitude. They hide the real thing of their service, try to confuse you and get you personal info. When I realized and asked back, they asked me to stay online then hung up. I called back the same number, but the only option is add to do-not-call list, cannot speak to anybody to delete me form their system. Very scary if they use my personal info in something else. I don't think agreed to sign up on anything. But who knows what they gonna do. Will watch closely on my card status.
CARD SERVICES!! And they now disguise their caller id with REWARD SOLUTION to trick you into answering.. They are the biggest annoying illegal scam going on today. I've been getting calls 2-3 times a week for THREE YEARS!! I've done everything. You call their number back and you get an option to be removed from their list. Doesn't work. They continue to call. I've reported their number (even though it changes every week) to the FTC do not call online complaint dept. Doesn't work. They still call. I have call block but it is limited to 10 numbers. After ten weeks, it fills up with calls from Card Services. I delete them and start over again. I now recognize their number but only lift the receiver long enough for my telezapper to kick in. But I hear they now have technology to ignore the telezapper tones. Hopefully 2012 will come up with long needed technology to put these miserable, dishonest, rude, ignorant scamming pests out of business!
I too get two or three calls a week from Rachel at card services. I have asked them to take me off their list but they do not. What can we do to eliminate their calls. We do not have blocking option that I know of.
Same Shxt, Different Day for these credit card scammers. They keep morphing their phone numbers, so even blocking the ones they call from does not keep up with their nefarious, and illegal, activity. They will not honor the National Do NOT CALL list or the Texas DO NOT CALL list and will not remove my number from their calling list. In essence, they are capable of SUCKING A GOLF BALL THROUGH A GARDEN HOSE!
These jerks just keep calling and calling with a "special offer" that I don't want. When I called back to get taken off their list, they hung up on me.
"Caution!", I hope you didn't give out your credit card number. If you did, call your card company right away and let them know what happened. These people are phishers - they get as much personal info as possible and use your credit cards and even open new accounts in your name (identity theft). They'll say they're from "cardholder services" which can lead some people to believe it's their own credit card company - it's not. Never, ever give your credit card information to an unknown caller online.
