Recevied a call from a number that came up on my caller i.d as "Mailbox 977-6714" No area code. Assuming 503, but not sure. GO AWAY!

Another call unanswered made by another company unrecognized on caller ID, another interruption with more time wasted looking up their informtion. I missed the evening news broadcast which aired about the woman who is "fighting back" at the telemarketers, who will be receiving $1500 for every unauthorized call made to her cell phone. Sure she is....

Some [***] just called at 9pm asking for my wife to do a survey about "an important issue". I asked him if he knew what time is was and he said it was 10pm where he was at but had no idea what time it was where I was at. I asked him what was so damn important to be calling about at 9pm and he said it was privatization of liquor sales in WA- gimme a break!

A woman called asking for my boss and said she was from "Crain's" and wanted to update their records. He doesn't receive Crain's in any format (even though I told her he doesn't get the magazine and she said he probably gets it digitally - he doesn't).

I was outside and didn't get in before my voice mail picked up.Caller ID said "MAILBOX" and displayed the above number.No message was left.Since "MAILBOX" did not adequately identify the caller, it's unlikely that I would have picked up anyhow.If someone wants to talk to me, they have to be honest about who they are in their caller ID.

"Mailbox" called RIGHT!! I have a phone for MY purposes. I pay the bill.On NO CALL list.GRRRRRRRR

This number keeps calling me. I have asked them to stop calling me several times but to no avail.5039776714They are very rude and refuse to tell me who they are or what they want.

503-977-6714 is a Focus Group company that specializes in political activities and public opinions. The call I got was to invite me to a focus group that encompasses different types of voters. For 1 hour and 45 minutes of my time, they paid me $75 plus refreshments and snacks. I am not sure what other types of businesses use this particular phone number but I know this one was acceptable. The other number for them is 1-800-498-4154. When their caller ID says MAILBOX, it's because it's a number to make outgoing calls from that has only one purpose. MAILBOX isn't just for postal mail, it's also used for email and voicemails.

Call (800) 344-8725 to opt out. (I was surprised that a human answered right away...)
