I got this call as well, 2 times as a matter of fact.Missed it, though calling back gave me a "Number is disconnected" message.This has to stop.Actually, got this call a while ago as well, stating my "Car Warranty is about to expire" which is pretty funny considering I don't have a car =)

Received a call from A warranty company by the name of "Gold Key" persisting to say that my warranty was soon up on my car. When I asked if they could tell me my VIN # of my car they COULD NOT!!!!... I asked if they could tell me where I purchased my car.. they stated that it was purchased at a place called " Voyage" in Alliston Ont. Hmmmm,,,, WRONG AGAIN!!!Who would I get in touch with so that this could possible be stopped before there is too many people out there scammed into paying for something that is not valid. Please help!!!

many received calls from the same individuals, they are in the same place using VoIP to test for live numbers(numbers that people actively use) to be used for various criminal activities.I have received calls from 505,702,949,310 - they are all the same person(s) and they are scammers! if you receive any calls from these numbers, report them IMMEDIATELY to your telephone provider AND Federal Law Enforcement (RCMP in Canada and FBI in the U.S.A), and after enough complaints are received, they will launch an investigation, and due to it crossing an international border, it will be classified as an internation incident via federal communication equipment, making it real bad for those involved IF they get caught. my guess is though, that they aren't your average 15y.o. playing around at home in the basement with his PC, its someone that knows exactly what they're doing and is very confident with computers and telecommunications equipment so as to hide himself from discovery.they call about credit card information updates, car warantee expiries, anything they think can get you to provide them with valuable information for the purpose of identity theft.you can't catch these guys easily because they are using VoIP. you only see the PSTN router they jump through but they really could be right next door to you, or on the other side of the planet.

from google search, appears to be a number in NM....with more than one identity. Sounds like scam. What can we do to get rid of these parasites?????

I googled this # after I saw it missed on my cell. There was a phone book listing for a Benton Kelly (don't know which is the first name here!). It gave a street address in Farmington NM for this person. IDK . . .
