I received a call from 507-215-8168 wIth no identification and my name not stated. It sounded as if it were a recording. This is the voicemail message:“You are receiving this message in reference to a complaint we have received. Please contact our office at 507-215-8168. We do need to speak to you or your representative immediately. However, if we do not receive a response, we will document your file and submit it for further review. Again, the phone number we can be reached is 507-215-8168.”
Same as everyone else above, except I actually took the call (they have been calling my work and cell repeatedly over the last few days). The lady, who was American, asked for my attorney's info. When I asked what it was in reference to, she said "I need to check my records" and put me on hold for 7 minutes. When she came back she referenced a payday loan of $300 from "AA Enterprises" that I took out in April 2012 and never paid back. I know I didn't take any such loan, and I was doubly certain when she referenced a bank account I've never had at a bank I've never used.So I told her such and she claimed AA Enterprises would aggressively target me via "legal proceedings". I told her that here in the state of Texas where I live, the statute of limitations on debt collection lawsuits is 4 years, which means a loan from April 2012 is no longer legally collectable. She said she would "forward my info to the client, and expect that they will pursue this matter with utmost urgency including serving me papers at my home and/or place of employment". I said, bring it on, would love to shut down their case with a time-barred debt defense. She then said "good day" and hung up. Now we wait for these papers, which as far as I know cost a couple hundred dollars to file in my county. So this company's going to spend $200 to try to get back $300? I. DON'T. THINK. SO. SCCCCAAAAAAMMMMM!!!!!!
Said that they called me in February 2017. Told her didn't know if they did or not. Was told complaint had been filed against me but she couldn't or wouldn't give me information on who or company name that filed said complaint.
I received the same phone call and message! Called them back and was put on hold so they could get the hard copy of the complaint. Waited 4 minutes and hung up.
