Bill collector from Empire Collections, frequent calls

I called back the next day from a government phone. They appear to be a collections business for yourself or another family member. They didn't leave a message on my phone... They make money by collecting even portion of the amount owed... If you have the same last name they will call you and try to get information.

Any & all Calls after 5pm will not be answered! Or from this number all together.............

Called at 7:35 p.m., said the person they were calling about had an 'account' with their office, then immediately wanted me to start verifying personal details about who they were calling about (who I did not know). Wow. Really? Never said what the account was, so that was strange. And kind of late to be calling anyway.

Call came in at 8Pm- --new phone and no one has number yet so did not accept. DId not leave msg. Glad to be able to check this page.

509-9284611 My CALLER ID says this is PETERSON ENT. / I guess this is to try and fool you into picking up the phone and answering. According to some of the comments listed here it is a collection agency.

Call at least a few times a week at odd ends of the day. Was in the middle of texting a friend just now and they called. Phone tried to auto answer them but I hung up right away as it's not a number on my list. Didn't give them the chance to say anything and they never leave a message anyways.

This number does belong to Valley Empire collection (which is a legitimate collections company in the Spokane Valley). However; we receive many scam calls that are spoofed numbers belonging to legitimate local businesses. no problem at home or on my cell, but at work; we have to answer every call whether we know the number or not. These calls are getting way out of hand; wish the govt. would step up and do something about it! As for the call i received (just a few minutes ago) I wasn't sure if this was actually Valley Empire, or a scammer spoofing their number (the lady just said "sorry, i must have the wrong number).
