This number called and intercepted a phone call between my boyfriend and I. I have been receiving several calls per day for a few weeks now and if I answer the caller hangs up. When I call the numbers back (all of which have started with 509-615-....) the numbers are all non working numbers.
I forgot to add... when I recently called the number (509)993-0000 it went to voicemail. I hope somebody is able to do something about this!
Sane thing happened to me. My husband and I were ltalking and he lost reception, when he called back this number came up and said Spokane (we live in Wenatchee). When I answered it was him, but I called it back just to see and it goes straight to voicemail and says it's full.
So I'm talking to a friend of mine, he said he'll check and call me right back. 5 mins later my phone rings, but it's not him-it's this 509-993-0000 phone # on my caller ID. Since it's a local #, I answer anyway. IT'S MY FRIEND! I asked him who's phone he was calling from and he said HIS PHONE! So I said hang up and call me right back. He did and it was HIS # again on my caller ID. So I called this 993-0000 # and it goes straight to anonymous voice mail.The only entity capable of this kind of phone hacking is the government. Think about it. This wasn't a computer hack. This wasn't a sales call where they enter a fake # to show up on caller ID. He was calling from HIS PHONE and this other # shows up! Big Brother is everywhere...
I received a call from this number and did a reverse lookup. It said the name was 'Big Brother'. From reading the different posts, it sounds exactly like a scam that has been going around this (509) area. Do not answer or give ANY information. Even if you don't give enough information, chances are when is added to whatever else they may already have, they're likely have enough to do some damage.
I called an 800 number from my cell phone, and their recording said "I see you are calling from 509 993 0000". Obviously, that's not my#. I called it, and immediately got the recording that voicemail is not set up.
