This number was for the Texas Education Agency since I had filed a formal complaint. It rang the first time and hung up before I answered, then they called right back. Legitimate call.
This call was from a state government agency based in Austin, TX. It was a legitimate call, and it was based on me initiating the contact.
This is a scammer. I have called TEA at their legit number 512-936-8400 and they all said they leave a message and this is NOT a legit phone number for any Texas Agency.
