Received 3 calls within 2 minutes of each other from this number. Non English speaking man who was asking for Larry Ackerman, claiming to be from Chase Card (could not understand him, but that's what it sounded like). He kept calling back after I hung up on him.
someone from this number called 5 times btw 8 and 9 AM! Did not leave a message. phishing?

SCAM, SCAM, SCAMThe Caller ID showed 513-698-8971, the message stated there is a past due Penske truck rental invoice and that I needed to call 888-834-9187. Very difficult to understand.
I received this call at work. It was a male caller with a heavy Indian accent claiming to be from Penske Trucking. He asked for payment of overdue invoices. The call was probably rerouted from overseas since I could hear loud clicking noises on the line.We don't even deal with Penske, but I couldn't resist giving him a hard time. He didn't know how to spell our company name and couldn't tell me what the invoices were for. Obviously a scam!.
2 calls this week, one from anon and very difficult to understand. One from this # and said we owe balance of 1k. Definitely phishing. beware!
caller called three times back to back on the third call i answer it and it was a woman couldn`t understand what she was saying, but i was mad at this point and asked her what she wanted and she said sorry and hung up, i called the number back and it rang one time then went to music, i held on for a while but no one never came to the line.
This is one of the numbers my global complany's help desk uses when it calls back in response to a trouble ticket. It's annoying the caller ID is blocked and they don't leave an intelligent message when the call is not answered. The help desk is predominately staffed by people in India, which explains the accent and some of the mis-communication (hearing "Chase Card" when something else was intended). They will sometimes ask for an employee ID number, which is called an "SSO"; this is NOT your social security number. I suspect most all of these calls to non-company people were because somebody gave the help desk an incorrect call-back number. It's not phishing, just annoying. As is the immediate transfer to muzak when the number is called.
