credit card scam

Just got a call from this number. It was a recording from "Cardmember Services.. press 1 to lower your rates" so I pressed one. They said they could lower my rates on my credit cards. When I told the guy, who liked to say uh-huh after every sentence he spoke, that all of my credit cards were 0% interest he hung up. I tried calling back and it was busy. When it did finally connect, it was a voice mail of a dog barking and then hello, then a recording stating the voicemail box was full and could no longer accept any voicemails. Caller ID provided the number 515-421-3101 Cell Phone, IA. I am on the Do Not Call List so I am curious as to how they have my phone number.

they called me on my house phone about 5:40pm (today), lots of static so I barely could hear the recording - doesn't seem like I missed much.

They called me too. On my cell. I just entered the number with no ring in case they call again. I did not answer, I know how to play these people just don't answer just because the phone rings.

Have received calls like this before and no longer answer. I too am on the Do Not Call registry and don't know how they can still harrass people. It's a phishing scam that gives you the runaround and tries to confuse you with excess verbage. Creeps and dirtbags.

Should I be worried about this call? Is there some information they are getting when they connect with you? All I asked was what company they were and they hung up.

just received a missed call from this number, thanks to being able to google the number to know its another solicitation. On my cell phone, no less which is also on the do not call list... supposedly.
