They will not stop calling. Buy a air compressed air horn at a sporting goods store and when called punch 1 on your phone to speak to a live person. When the live person is on the line give the horn a blast and it will disable an ear for quite a while. Only way to slow down calling.

I am getting these calls at least three times a day but it is coming up as a unknown name with no name. They are leaving messages on my machine saying I have a limited time to lower the interest on my credit card. This is the first time a number has showed up and I am reporting it. If I do get the caller they are not going to like me........

They called me this morning - I just hung up on them. I don't even have a credit card...

machine informed me that this is my "second, and final notice, to change my credit card terms". the guy I got on the phone, told me his name is John, the company is All in One Services, and when I asked for the corporate address, he said he didn't know. once I asked for a supervisor, I was placed on hold, and then hung up on.

More likely it's because it's a call center phone that's not set up to receive incoming calls.

This same company uses a predictive dialer and they do not abide by the DNC registry (illegal) and they "cloak" their Caller ID number, showing this one now but changing them every couple/few weeks and calling back again. The automated message is also changed, but it is the same company over and over again. It's obviously a scam of some sort, but I can't figure out that part. I've tried having them stop calling me, then I've pretended to be seriously interested in their offer, and they always pressure for a credit card number. Obviously I won't give that up, but one call I pretended to need to get it from my hubby, give me your number & I'll call you right back with it... they gave me a name & number, but again, when I called back, it was fake & the company whose number they used said they get the same calls from time to time. Next, I resorted to trying to bribe the worker... "keep my number, when you're done working for this company, call me & tell me the real story, and I'll pay you for your time" but still can't track these folks down. They are very careful about being caught.

Because the people calling you are probably scammers who couldn't care less about the no-call list. I'm constantly amazed at people who think that signing up for the no-call list means the end of all unwanted calls, forever. I wish it did, but it doesn't -- especially when those operating outside (or barely inside) the law choose to ignore it.

Absolutely right! Only thing I would add is: please study the no-call legislation carefully so you don't waste their time by reporting calls that aren't covered (surveys, non-profits, charities, etc.).

So, outlaw unsolicited calls, and only outlaws will make unsolicited calls.I was considering contacting the FCC, the Iowa State's Attorney General, and the carrier. But what will that accomplish if they are spoofing the number?
