Supposedly a "general contractor for Blue Cross Blue Shield" talking about Medicaid. Blocked caller after.
Yep, even though I'm on the National Do-Not-Call Registry, these folks cold-called me, with a robo-voice at that. With these insurance scammers I like to "press 1", express interest, give them a whole lot of completely bogus information about me and my insurance needs and generally waste as much of their time as possible. THIS TIME, however, when I answered "Sure" when asked if I was shopping for health insurance, they hung up. This is encouraging, because it tells me that enough folks are punking them that they are getting a smidge paranoid. They are probably already hanging up on some folks who actually may want to buy what they are selling - shouldn't be long now that they will just go away. Nice work, fellow Punkers...
They told me they are Irs when I told them I went to the local Irs office and they have zero problems with me and the IRS lady asked me to get your supervisors number and her nameThe lady on the phone said well if that's the way u feel and hung up!
I decided to call back after I missed a call from them. I got a recording on the line that was unintelligible because it was such a poor quality recording. I am blocking.
This call was automatically blocked. This is how you can block all unwanted calls " before they call you ". Upgrade to a new phone that can " block all incoming calls " and " allow contacts only ". Once you set your phone to these settings only people on your contact list can call you. All other calls are automatically blocked and your phone will not ring. Blocked calls will show up on the caller ID as a missed call. Ask your phone store about phones that can do this. You will never have to block a number again.
