These guys have been calling my everyday sometimes 2-4 times per day. They tell me it's about my CIBC account. I informed them that I closed that account almost 15 years ago. To close an account you have to have a zero balance. Told them they are welcome to call me till the end of time. I tell them I do not have an outstanding debt with CIBC. I've been blocking numbers on my phone but it appears they have many other numbers on hand. So I removed my answering machine and now just ignore numbers I don't know. They can call me forever I really don't care.

Once you make arrangements or a small payment you're back at the beginning of the time limit, leaving them legal wrights to do what they want, including court actions.

Upon looking up info this ph# is a series of phone numbers belonging to debt collectors such as "Active Capital" seeking to abuse old and misleading debt information to trick and embezzle money off of people.

So how do we get these guys to stop Active Capital, there even calling me after 8:30 pm

well, i know why they're calling me coz I owed TD some money that I didn't pay for like a long time ago but then Aktiv Kapital called me 2 years ago and I got trapped so I am stuck paying them little by little. But funny coz the amount I owe keeps on getting higher coz of the interest. Why is there an interest????I should not have made arrangements with them... With the time that I've served for a few years, that should've paid my debt.... But hey i was trying to do the right thing.... But it didn't work.When people do the right things, they don't get a break.... But whey people lie, they get a break...
