I totally agree. People have the right to peace and quiet when they are home. My husband is a disabled veteran and I too am now disabled. Neither of us is able to work. We both have medical problems which are really painful and it's difficult to sleep. I get really tired of the phone calls that come right at 8 or 8:30 in the morning that wake me up when I have finally been able to fall asleep perhaps an hour or two before. I had one jerk that didn't like what I told him so he called back multiple times in retaliation. I finally blocked his number and thankfully have not had any more calls since. The caller ID said Everglades FL. Most of the calls we get seem to be these scam phone calls. Occasionally the VA calls my husband when they want to schedule him for a specific test or something but I really get tired of all the scam phone calls. We are on fixed income too so we don't have the money to buy anything these telemarketers might be selling anyway. Neither of us cares to take the time to do surveys unless it's something important pertaining to social security, medicare, VA benefits not being cut. Stupid government always picks on the older folks on fixed incomes that are having a rough time affording their meds, food, and utilities. I really get tired of outfits asking for money to help strengthen social security and medicare from the people that can least afford to give donations. AARP is guilty of this. I don't see yet what they are doing or plan to do. I suspect they have a well overpaid CEO running the organization just like everything else.

i got the same call just a few minutes ago. the phone number that appeared on my caller ID is not familiar to me, so i google it right away. sure enough my thoughts were right. just another bogus call from someone who are looking for preys to victimize.........be aware.

Called our cell, we're on the do-not-call list, didn't answer and they left no message. Now blocked.

These are phone calls from someone looking for a modem connected to a phone line. Once you answer the phone they can potentially hack your computer. It must not be to hard to do because there are hundreds of these numbers!

Got a call from FMR Associates and when I answered they hung up. I hate when this happens!!

Thanks for the #, although I have a No. CA tel # I relocated to midwest. Called the number& spoke with a very nice gentleman who blocked my number to prevent recall.

Each time they call, I block the entire area code and every few months I go through my list and delete numbers. FMR is one that comes back time and time again. This time they will be permanently blocked. They never leave a message, so it can't be that important. Presumed survey based on other reports; companies that conduct surveys do not have to follow the DNC Registry (neither do political hucksters and a few other exceptions -- unfortunately).
