That 504 area code (scam) continues to call me everyday and leaves messages I decided to called the 800# and put in the code they gave but I hung up after they asked me if I was the person; I hung up and called my bank and they told me they do not contact the members they told me these unscrupulous people try to get your account info to get into your account it's called Fishing. I went in person to NFCU and put my cell phone on speaker to let them hear that a person on the other end said NFCU to make it seems as if they were legit and when I asked for their employee ID number they hung up. Please be aware and do not do business with anyone who calls you on your phone if you do deal with that Bank or Credit Card company hang up and call the 800 number you have on the back of your card. Times are too hard to be ripped off these days!!

No, it isn't. I called the number back when I wasn't able to answer before it went to voice mail. A guy answered "Hello?". When I asked if it was Navy Federal, he said no. Check w/ Navy Fed, they will tell you it isn't them.

I just got a call from this number today Feb 26, 2010. They did not leave a message but I called back and like other ppl statement above she asked for my access number.... Well I just hung up and called the 800 number to verify everything is in good standing with all my account, which of course it was... The lady at NFCU said that they will not call you and ask for you access number because they have it already. If it was anything requiring a account thats not in good standing they will leave a mssage telling you to call Navy Federal. So please beware ppl its 2010 and pppl are desperate!!!! To sum it all up take precaution and call the bank 800 number.

My friends, we have all entered into the Great Depression... They want their money cause they are going under... If you are 1-day late the auto-phone starts calling... And calls, and calls... Until you give them some dough!! No peace for you... If you don't like it sell something... Your eyes, kidneys, your heart... But give them their dough, and on time too!! But in the end, it won't matter... Because in the depression nobody has any dough anyway...;-)

I called this number back after they repeatedly called my cell phone. The first time i called they hung up, the 2nd time I called the girl didn't even say hello she says CAN I HAVE YOUR ACCESS NUMBER. I laughed and told her no, and she said well how am I supposed to know who you are. I responded and said that she should know because she's been ringing my phone all day. I told her I wasn't giving it to her and that she needs to know what the call was in reference to, and she said PROBABLY A PASSED DUE ACCOUNT. I laughed again and told her that was highly unlikely and hung up the phone. Her tone was very unprofessional and I would recommend reporting the call to your bank (whoever you bank with) as I plan to do

A call from 540-722-1699 came in with the Caller ID "Navy Fed Fin GR" An automated message said I should call the message retrieval number 1-800-829-0412 and type in a "code" to get my message. The automated message said my last name wrong due to it being Irish and having an apostrophe separating the O from the rest of the name, such as O'Sullivan, O'Neill or O'Meara. The made be believe it was fraudulent. I called Navy FCU's main 800 number and asked about the call. Ironically enough, they said it's from their "Fraud alert" system that lets you know if there is unusual activity on your account.

I got called twice in one day early in the morning and didn't pick up the phone. The next day I got another call in the afternoon and picked it up. It said it was NFCU and asked for my last for then connected me to a lady. She said this is Navy Federal and they need my last four SSN to verify who I was because they needed to speak with me. I said I'll just call the main branch to verify it. Called main branch at 800 #, they said 540 area code is not NFCU.
