Received a call after 8pm tonight from this number, will block it, as I have other scammers. Just showed up as the phone # and Arlington, Va., and hung up as it rolled to V/M. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO GOVERNMENT AGENCY THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE STOPPING CALLS TO OUR PHONE NUMBERS ON THE DNC LIST???
Thank you for your excellent post and the research behind it. I would only add that another contributor mentioned: "two calls within 60 seconds". This could be what is known as "Double Calling". It is a tactic designed to tie-up a phone`s OS long enough to sneak past the caller ID and/ or call filtering defense system.
This number must be part of the range of numbers dedicated to the same call center - I can see more similar numbers of the same range 57131958xx reported already, mostly with business loans. In the case of this number they left no message, no idea who is behind it? People please did someone answer it? I really don't answer unknown numbers and don't want to call them back, trying to dig some info about this number on internet first...
