I got a call also, but I have it blocked on my SmartPhone Android with Mr. Number. This software app also keeps a database of complaints which will automatically block inbound spam calls even if I do nothing. It's great. These callers are clearly spammers and scammers.
where is the A-team to go find who's doing this and put their personal numbers on all the other spam call lists?

I called the number back because I get a lot of calls from recruiters for jobs...it's some online gaming answering machine message.

I called Citibank's other number and confirmed this was their Consumer Support number. It is legitimate. Processed the information they needed to verify my account. I originally thought it was fraud but it is real.

We receive calls at our place of business from these people every day and they claim to be with Spectrum. It sounds like a call center in India; noisy background noise and each person who calls has a strong accent.

Evidently gets next if kin names from obituaries and calls them all, over and over. Will not say what they are calling about until you give birthdate and ssn of the deceased.
