10/2/2010 at 10:42an received call that rang 2 seconds (recorded on my phone as a 2 second call) and quit. When I opened the cell phone (a full minute after it had stopped ringing because I had to find the d___ thing) it was a missed call from 573-942-8989 (an eastern Missouri area code).Someone in this list of calls reporterd a $35 deduction from their money account for the cell phone. Hope this was not what occurred. Checking with carrier to see--assiming I can get a live respondent (very difficult) from the carrier..

10/2/10 Went to use my phone's phone book to look up a number and I had a missed call from this number. No message. Did not try to call back. Glad to read the other posts about this number.
Also missed call from this number on my area code 716 cell. I'm also on Do Not Call list.
Just called AT & T to alert them of a possible scam. They said the 573 area code is shared by The Dominican Republic and Ohio. Go figure!
Got a Spanish speaking message from 573-942-8989.As I do with all calls in Spanish, I say, "This is America...SPEAK ENGLISH"!!!

I just let it ring as I do not give this number out, therefore I dont answer numbers I dont recognize! Sadly we live in a time of rampant theft and corruption, and its gonna get worse before it gets better. That makes me wonder - What IF those "Christians" ARE right? - & What if there IS something to this 2012 thing? There are a lot of rumors about what "End Times" are gonna be like! and this sure sounds like it! Wars, Hunger, Crazy Weather, People's Character, - Bible says that the Generation that sees Isreal become a Nation (1947) will see the second coming (of Jesus) ie, what some people call the end of the world ... I've been getting multiple calls a day from this number, and the phone has never rung long enough to go to my voicemail, so I'll NEVER answer it. What's interesting is that the number is registered in the small town I was born in 70 years ago!

Constant calls from guys named Marcello Duarte and Paul Poh from Radical Security claiming that my computer was hacked and I need to paypal them to scan and fix it. I keep hanging up on them and telling him not to call back, but they keeps calling.
