I get the same call, they said they were from "The Purple Heart", and they would be on my road collecting donations, wanted to know if I would be home. I tried to call this number back also and it wouldn't connect.Be cautious.....
These people called my phone and when I answered they said nothing...30 seconds later they knocked at my door. I didn't answer..they pounded on the door and then finally left. Left a card that says..Sorry, I missed you..Matt Estes and a phone number ....never heard of them and I wish they would just go away.
I have a feeling that this is a computer that fixes the time that you are home to receive a call. After you answer, the time is sold to anyone that needs a list for cold calls. Just a guess but it sounds about right.

I received the same call today (6/10/11). I'm wondering if someone is just checking to see when someone would NOT be home. I tried calling the number back and got silence; no ringing even. Sounds like a scam of some sort.
