Woman said she was representing veterans (or something like that) and was calling homes in my neighborhood. I did't have to do anything because a representative would be out to my house on Friday, Oct. 9, and would I be home to receive them. I said it wasn't possible, I wasn't interested and she said "good bye".

586-283-3000 - THIS NUMBER BELONGS TO: APSA (American Professional Services Association) associated with:Financial Services of America (FSA)6900 Miller Dr.Warren, Michigan 48092586-939-3810Owner: Richard David JamesPLEASE READ: What FSA does is sell financial services to people over the age of 50... That’s why you were called. APSA get lists... lists of people over the age of 50 who live in Southern Michigan. Over the phone they’ll offer you discount coupons, free home & auto quotes and a free package, etc… They tell you someone will be in the neighborhood on a certain day to drop off the free package. Actually what they are really doing is blocking out an hour of an FSA representative's time to visit with you. What they’re really looking for is to get you at home, and get in the door to explain “the package" they are dropping off. Once in the door they’ll pitch you on some of their services, and solicit you for business. The three main free services’ they’ll offer you are; 1) Free Estate/Trust review, 2) Free Tax Return review, and 3) free Home & Auto Insurance reviews. They will ask you to become a free member of APSA for 1 year…. and if you sign the free membership form, then you are in their system and on their call list for follow-up visits to receive more information.Because most of the services they sell you require you to divulge financial information, it is through these three main services they can get enough financial information from you to determine if you have money available to invest, or re-invest. So, MOST IMPORTANTLY, the thrust of their visit IS FINDING OUT YOUR FINANCIALS, more specifically, they’re interested in your assets, like 401Ks, cash in bank accounts, any CD’s, Money Market Accounts, Stocks, etc… liquid assets… assets available for re-investment. The final result of their visit will be to tell you that they can show you a better way to get a higher return on your investments. Now they may not get to your financials on the first visit, but they will try to reschedule a second appointment with you where they will bring a “Specialist” (called the closer) to your house, and his goal is to get to your financials and get you to invest in … are you ready… ANNUITIES!! Yes, all this is for them to sell you annuities. Now they have some valuable services at some very good prices if you need them… but remember, what they really want is to eventually put your money in annuities.
