Been getting calls from these folks as well. No response when I answer or when I call them.
I certainly wouldn't be telling them that no one would be home....I have also gotten this call, tried to call back doesn't even connect.....SCAM!
Our cordless phones (Panasonic) has a feature that you can block certain numbers, and/or you can block all calls that do not identify themselves. It plays a recording to them saying that this phone number only allows calls that identify themselves (that is for the calls unidentified), not sure if it gives a recording to the other numbers that you block, but I love this feature! No more calls from this 586.283.3000 number - it rings once and then is blocked!
