my telus email account has been hacked ?? barely understood women on phone, gave this number and it showed up on caller display. admitted she was calling from overseas.

I rec'd a call from this number. Male told me he was from Telus, that we had an outdated internet modem and that he wanted to book an appointment to come and swap it out with an updated one. I asked for a way to reach him after I could consult my schedule and he gave me ali@proactivesupport@telus.com. I called Telus to verify this employee's credentials and they were unable to confirm it without an employee ID number. Furthermore they told me that hardware upgrades are usually initiated by the customer, not Telus. I have emailed Ali for his employee number and will update this post if/when I find out more.

Found out this guy is legitimate. They called because they want to upgrade the hardware. I expect that once the new piece is in with better capacity, I'll be getting calls to upgrade my internet package as well!

I've gotten a few calls now and so I picked up the last one and gave them the Seinfeld. For anyone who doesn't know what that is here goes: when they call answer the phone and tell them you're interested but busy right now but if they'll just give you their home phone number you'll call them back later and when they start to tell you that they don't give out their home phone number ask them why, is it because you don't want people bothering you at home and when they start to answer yell at them "now you know how I feel" and slam down the phone.

Well, why are they contacting me repeatedly?! I've NEVER missed a payment. If you do work for TELUS, then you just proved the point I was gonna argue: TELUS has horrible customer service. Thanks for just proving that with your comment...
