This is the number to report robo calls that weren't blocked to the anti-robo call service. It frequently shows up when a second call comes in before the service has completely disconnected from handling the previous call. Some robo callers are trying to by-pass the system by "double dialing" numbers, ie calling twice at the same time, to try and get through. Others may indeed be spoofing the number but I have only seen this number pop up when two calls come in rapid succession.

This call came almost right on top of the previous suspicious call. I don't know which one left the blank voicemail, only white background noise. I immediately deleted it.

I get the blocked call/608-371-6666 combination a couple of times a week. The first one displays an IA (Iowa) call which gets blocked after the first ring. The 608 call follows within 3 or 4 seconds but gets through the block. If I answer, it's a dead line - still an aggravation. Tonight I added the 608 number specifically into my "block" list with TWC. I'll have to wait to see if that made a difference.

After reading everyone's comments about this number, all I can say is, This is weird! Yesterday I received two back-to-back calls from this number. The first time the caller ID said DCPA with a local Denver number; then after 2 rings the ID switched to Janesville WI showing 608-371-6666. I'm a member of DCPA and have had season tickets for many years, so I really wanted to answer the DCPA's call. I figured that (by coincidence) two calls came through at the same time: one from DCPA and another from a robo-scammer. But my NoMoRobo didn't catch the Janesville WI call and it rang several times. Then, within a few seconds, the whole sequence happened again. I figured it couldn't be coincidence so I answered (again after the second ring; by that time, the ID had once again changed from DCPA/local Denver number to 608-371-6666 with the Janesville WI ID). The person on the other end of the line: Rebecca from DCPA Customer Service, responding to a ticket request I sent them earlier in the week. We discussed my request; I never gave Rebecca any personal or credit card info during the call. I'm not sure what's going on or why a legitimate business would mask their phone number/caller ID; but for me, this caller was legit.

Called stating he was looking for person who doesn't live hear stating that she has a car registered with my address when questioning the address different city and street then mine.

Me, too, this number always comes through and has absolutely NO identifying information with it. They started calling at 8:03 a.m. today. I've informed NOMOROBO but finally had to block it myself. So they can call to their heart's content.

This number just called back. No voicemail this time. This phone number is affiliated with 402-637-5637. The second number called first just like earlier.

No mo robo blocked their first attempt. On the second try, i saw maine med ctr and got suckered into picking up the phone. Caller identified himself as a rep from some greeting card co. He had my old business name and wanted to sell me cards for my store.

I am also getting calls from this number. One call my call blocker and the next time they call they get through. I'm not answering the calls.

This is the 16th call I've had where some smarta$$ telemarketer uses this number to get through. What a crock. This time it was a call center that asked "Is this the MACHIADO?? ....garble garble" and I hung up.
