Scam1. Voicemail is left purporting to be from a medical billing office (could be a local radiological or animal hospital etc.)2. Scammers direct you to a fake entity which will collect the payment. Upon first glance, it may seem legitimate. However, you may not have had any contact with this facility or it maybe non-existent or no longer operating.3. Through an internet search and calling the establishment directly, you should be able to decipher this as a scam.As to how it works:I believe this is an elaborate scam which is coded to look like a legit billing inquiry into past due balances. I believe the call is coded to look like a 3rd party billing company which represents some LOCAL company with who you MAY or may not have had business with. If you live in an area where there are few medical providers, you may be more susceptible to falling for this scam as it will take further investigation to snuff out the evidence. The scammers through programming create fake yelp and google pages which show no employees working at the entity.For example: my call states that I need to pay North Shore Radiological Associates. You'll notice that there is a Yelp and Google business page...hmm interesting. However, there are no reviews. There is no formal website. There is also no information pertaining to the business online. The phone number is not in service.Summary:This is a VERY elaborate scam. It seems so elaborate that people are posting that the calls are legitimate on here which would entice others coming here to pay the bills.1. There is a voice message asking for payment from a local purported provider.2. There are business pages on Google and Yelp (although contain no reviews or no formal websites)3. The business address has a phone number but it leads to nowhere.4. There are posts on here suggesting it's real, maybe they are on commission or maybe they are the programs who designed the scam. Why would someone come here and look up a number that is highly suspicious to say that it's a legit number? Normal people don't come here to report they are paying their bills. It doesn't add up. Think about it.

This is not a company you owe money to but a scam. I was called saying my insurance did not pay the rest of a bill. What is funny is that I have not been to a doctor or medical facility in over 15 years. They stated that I owed money and I could pay it over the phone with a credit card. Total scam and listed as HAP.
