My CU confirmed today that yes indeed there were fraudulent charges out of state that they blocked. This number shows up on caller ID as Fraud Detection and was legit for my CU account. Definitely worth calling your bank to verify.
Legitimate. They found charges on my debit card made across the country. Trust them.
I missed their call and when I tried to call back the samw number a recording said it was a number not in service or was disconnected. Makes me think scam.
On point credit union calling to confirm charges on my account- they were able to pin point transactions that I made without me offering any personal info- the call was legit as I had been booking international travel reservations
3rd party fraud monitoring, confirmed with my bank that the call was legitimate.
Legitamite Fraud Protection Service. As for the negative comments, the reason why there were no transactions or problema is because these people prevented the transactions from going through.
This was a legitimate call from my bank's fraud watch division informing me of several (6) unauthorized charges on my debit account. They informed me that my debit card number would be inactivated and they would restore the unauthorized amounts - which has been done.
This number left me a message saying they were from On point Community Credit Union fraudulent services and that they were some possible fraudulent activity on my debt card account ending in ****. They called on the weekend which was odd cause my credit union is only open on the week days, so I went online and check my bank account to find no transactions out of the ordinary. I tried to call my banks customer service number located on the back of my card, instead of the one they gave me, to find out they were closed until Monday. I decided to look up this Minneapolis number to see what business would come up, and I found what I had expected: possible phishing scam for bank info. It all just seems too weird not to be cautious, so I will call my bank on Monday to be sure. It's better to be safe then sorry.
