I just got a message from this number to my voice message so the start was cut off. It sounded suspicious so I did a google on the number and found this thread. Call display showed 011 61 3 5188 031 which usually means a out of country call (country code 61) but that is probably fake too.
Yes, got the same message. Called back and they said CRA. They hung up on me when I said this must be a hoax. I called back and they said they were going to hang up on me again and I would be going to prison.I am going to call CRA and report this. Hopefully they will be going to prison for impersonating the CRA.
I just got a call, I didn't pick up & they left the same massage that CRA has a lawsuit against me. I googled the number sure enough it brought me to this page and I felt relieved. I called back and a man with an East Indian accent answered, when I said that they're scam and I'm going to report them he called me b..ch and hung up.
Got the same call with same message, except the number was 613-518-8032. Liked reading this page though. I know to ignore it....
just received a call from 613-518-8031. The recording said this was the final attempt at calling. I owed taxes and if I didn't pay up immediately CRA would would sue and to call the above number back so that i can start paying back the monies owed.
Just got home and there was a message on my machine from revenue canada. It is the scam number. Wish I had been home to string them along for a while. It is all over the news you would think they would move on to something else.
Just got the call. They changed the number for me to 1-613-927-9688. The CRA doesn't call and leave a message like that ... they send a registered letter. Then they call if they dont get action and wait until they talk live to you. If you are getting a call in the morning call the operator and she can trace the call.
If it is someone calling from CRA Tax Crimes Investigation unit (no such thing) with an Indo/Pakistani accent is Fraud. 100 Percent Fraud. Do not fall for this. Revenue Canada never phones. They only use the mail. And when did anyone ever pay Revenue Canada by Western Union, Green Dot cards or any other scam card?

From the QUITLINE - can be any state - PA for me - I followed their program to quit smoking and this was a follow up survey - NOT SPAM - The service was helpful and the survey harmless.
Got 2 calls from this number stating that it is a colect call from an inmate. We don' t know anyone who is an inmate anywhere.

This number keeps calling me. The message they leave is like a clicking sound. No one speaks. Very odd. I’m blocking this number

My calls were being forwarded to this number and I have no idea how it happened.
They hung up. In the last ten days I've had unauthorized credit card charges and an identity theft related to a Medicare fraud case. I suspect this is related.

Medicredit I believe possibly is scam/fraud calls involving medical insurance, medicare. Courts WILL decide !!
