The DNC doesn't stop scam calls period. Keep using the call blocker however, they do work! Block them all!
Called at 9:48 a.m. I didn't answer and they left no message. When I called back several hours later, I get a recording that says: The person you were trying to reach is currently not available., please try again later.
Also same "Jimmy Ottis" CLID called from 763-381-5699 and 615-261-9059 today, about 90 minutes apart, neither one left a message.
They are from india. Keep calling mine too. So i called back once. They asked if they recently called my phone, im not saying yes, lol
Got two calls from "Jimmy Ottis" today, this number and 763-381-5699, about 90 minutes apart. Neither one left a message. I never answer unknown callers, but there has been a real uptick in the numbers in the past month or two. Getting six to ten calls a day lately - five already today and it's only 2:30pm.
Recieved call from 615-261-9059. Said they were with Quality Insurance co. Asked me if I was Mel. I said yes without thinking, then realized I don't know Quality Ins. I hung up.
Shirley, I understand you want to vent, but 800notes is NOT calling you, and the scammer behind this number is not reading this page to honor your request. (And even if they were, how can they remove your number when you don't leave it here, which I certainly DON'T recommend.) If you really want to cut down on spam calls, invest in a call blocker. There is a forum thread here where they are discussed at length, or just search for "call blocker". Personally, I just don't answer the phone unless I recognize the caller AND I want to talk to them. If it's important, they WILL leave a message.
