this is some Indian scam regarding a payday loan. They are probably using phone spoof which will let you number appear as anything you won'the. If you try to call back, using last 4 9678 of 9740 it says check # and dial again. TODAY I ANSWERED (2ND CALL TODAY AT 5:55, 1ST CALL TODAY AT 10:29, I JUST PICKED UP AND HUNG UP) 2ND CALL I CURSED THE PERSON OUT. I HAD IT ON SPEAKER SO I HEARD YEAH, YEAH. 1. SAVE # AS SCAM.2. CALL ATTY GENERAL IN YOUR STATE.3. CALL FTC.4. ONE SITE SAYS THEY ARE BELIEVED TO BE SCAMMING AMERICANS TO FINANCE TERROIST ACTIVITIES.

this number keeps showing up on my caller id and when i ansewer it they just hang up on me, i tried to report it to the better business bureau, but they cannot find anything on this number, what can i do about this?

Got a call this morning at 9:30 with the number that appears on my caller id as 638-884-976840. Left no message and hangs up after 4 rings. These people are relentless alarm clocks! I never answer funny looking numbers and it's not the last I'll get I'm sure.
