I had the same call as below. Visa charge to verify. I did not press 1, and I did try to call my bank, which frustratingly tried to redirect my call to a pay service 807 number. Thanks Canada Trust, you will soon be losing my account and all my business. Anyway, called the fraud line, but only matters if you have given out personal information or have lost money, so not preventative but will only react after the fact. Pretty useless I'd say. If the person below and myself can provide the same call from the same number, then it's obviously a scam, we can provide the number, and the authorities can trace the number and pay a visit to the owner of the number, maybe make an arrest and PREVENT this scam from ever getting off the ground. Anyway, frustrated, I called the number back and got an Indian voice stating some company name, which I couldn't understand. I asked him to repeat the company name and it went silent, then they hung up. I tried to call back, my number was rejected/blocked. These f..king thief's should be hung from City Hall as they go after vulnerable people, worse yet around Xmas time. When will the authorities go after these f..kers and finally do something?
