Caller was automated. Left a message threatening due to suspicious activity, to suspend a social (I'm assuming a social security card?). Says I had 24hrs to call this number in response. Total scam as the social security department will NEVER call by phone.

I answered and got a computer generated voice telling me the same about my social security number. Glad to see others reporting this scam.

Same as above, it IS a scam to get older folks who don't know any better to give them their SSN, and then *poof*, their credit records and identity are compromised. The real SSA NEVER calls, they send mail. Also, the language used by scammers is ALWAYS bad English, i.e. saying your "social" has been found suspicious. If you're on the govt's Do Not Call list, then this should be reported to the Federal Trade Commission.

This number left a message on my home phone stating they were from the department of social security administration - claiming my social has been found suspicious under criminal activities - threatening to proceed to court matter. This IS a scam as Social Security does NOT call you. They will contact you via snail mail.
