I also started receiving phone calls from this number and they would all come in during the hours that I was at work. The message was always the same to call the number concerning a personal matter and I would always delete the message and never call back. One day my it got the better of me and I called the number back only to find a tape recording telling me to leave my name, number and someone would contact me. Sounded strange so the next day I called it again and got the same message. A few days later I was at home when the call came in and I answered it, only to find a lady on the other line and the first thing she said was I would like for you to know I have heard every kind of story you are about to tell me (which mad me furious because I knew I did not owe any money). Then she wanted me to give her my mailing address and SS number to verify who I was. I told her if you called me then you should have all of that information, She became even more rude so I told her to never call my home, work or cell again. She proceeded to tell me that I had a debt with this company and needed to resolve it. I informed her I knew more about my rights than she evidently gave me credit for and the company would be receiving a cease and do not call letter, (which you can easily find on the internet). I sent the letter and have not heard from them again.Do not pay this company any money.

Our business location (a group home for IDD individuals) gets calls from these people all the time. It is against regulations to call a number that is a business phone number if an authorized individual from that number indicates that it is a business line and that their calls may impact services to customers (don't need to use that exact phrasing). While it may very well be that we have medical accounts that are delinquent, we do not deal with third party collectors as our resident services are handled by a separate process. Regardless, I called back the number and advised them that it was a business. The representative with whom I spoke informed me that she would process the request right away. We will see.

Concerning a debt

Calls from this 704-553-7146, just added them to my reject list, I owe no medical bills!

This morning I received a call from PMAB 1-704-553-7146. The call switched over to my answering machine and all it did was send continuous beeps. Eventually I had to erase the beeps. Looking back at previous calls on 800notes it appears to be a caller from a medical collection office. There is no way I owe any money to a medical office. If you call again at least have the courtesy of leaving a spoken word message instead of an incessant beep.

I decided to return the call to find out what this was all about. It was for my sister who lives in another country and paid the bill promptly when I forwarded it to her - she sent a cashiers check in US dollars. The person who answered my phone call (hard to understand) informed me that my phone number would be removed. Blocked it anyway! Website - www.pmab.com and www.medarx.com.
