They have called me twice now. I didn't answer the second time as I was at work, but did answer the first time. I was told that they were a collection agency and that they were trying to collect a debt I have with CMC. I told them that I had already dealt with this and have a plan set up with CMC to pay $25 a month through their long term finance program and that I just received the first statement stating that my first payment wasn't due until October. The lady became rude at that point and said "Well, you were sent to collections yesterday and we need to collect your debt". I cut her off and once again said that I had already made a prior arrangement and that I wasn't paying them anything. I refuse to pay both CMC and a collection agency, basically paying double or, in the end, overpaying.
I hate this company. I got to pay $50 up fort at the hospital as our co-pay. that what insurance dose not cover and they then they pay outstanding balance. and hospital got take what they get. So I called the insurance company and sent them a statement that i payed my co-pay and that i owe $0 and that hospital bill was paid. Then they told me that This is a second bill for the Dr. which should be only one bill. for $489 so i asked them was it possible that the insurance paid the bill after the hospital went to them so it took about week form there to get back to me. so possibly they called hospital and said i still owe. but could just sat back waited week and called my back saying i still owe with out calling the hospital .
I am also getting tired of these phone calls!!! I even have a block on my phone WTF!!!
Debt Collector calling for previous owner of my cell number. I simply answered got a automated message and pressed 4 because I didn't know the person they were trying to contact. It then transfered me to a real person which asked for the person who used to have this number and I informed them I only recently got the cell number and didn't know the person they wished to talk to. They simply apologized and said they wouldn't bother me anymore. Hopefully thats the case.
I told my dr. office I was out work after a long hospital stay and would start making payments when I went bck to work, which is next week. Now PMAB. Has it and won't take partial payments. Now I know about, not a cent to them...
I had no idea who these people were until I googled the number. A medical collections agency, and I think I know who sent it. Check to see if you really owe anything, because it's usually a hospital that can't wait to get their money. What a load of b.s.
These folks have started calling me again. Previously, I simply did not answer when I saw them on the CallerID, and they stopped calling for at least six months. (You can read my previous post about their calls.)Here's the deal for me: since I haven't gotten anything in writing from any medical service provider or from PMAB or anyone else about my owing a debt, there's no chance that I'm going to place a return call to someone I don't know just because I got a voice message asking me to do that.As someone else here said, they're going to have to put it in writing in a letter to me or a summons to court for me to take this seriously. If you haven't gotten anything in writing yet, then the call is bogus, and what they're trying to do is scam us.I hope they don't get too frustrated or annoyed by my not taking their calls.
