Actually got a call from them yesterday and i looked up the info he gave me on the Charlotte Fire Dept. Site. The Company (that's calling you) is called FireCo. They want to sell you tickets to a concert in October ($22 a piece) at Cricket Arena for the Platters (old band) The concert info is on the Fire Dept.Website. Funds go to buy the fire houses that 3rd an 4th graders go through to practice fire escape as well as a lot of other items. The hang ups are a pain in the [***], i agree, but for the record, they really are raising money for the charlotte fire dept. Looks Legit to me.. just thought i'd share.
Just got a call from this number on my business phone. The caller just said "sorry, wrong number". If this was a legitimate business soliciting for the CFD, why not just ask for a donation??? I would be more than happy to donate to a worthy cause, but they need to do a better job soliciting!! As a side note - I agree with Ellen, the DNC Registry is NOT working.
This numbers call and hangs up when you answer. Any other time the Fire or Police call they talk to you.
This number shows up on caller id. No one talks or leaves message. Call is from Charlotte NC. I do not live in Charlotte so I need them to stop calling me. Apparently its a fund raiser #. Not gonna happen so stop the calls please!!!
