I set up contact called SPAM... then I add numbers with this type of calling profile. I mute the ring tone so it never rings.

Received a call and answered but no one replied. Very frustrating.

Nuisance calls about solar to my cell phone! We are on the do not call list.

I got 3 calls from this number so far. I don't recognize the number so I just delete it.

That number called me and no-one was there. Said Windsor, CA in ID field. Dialing back gives a "disconnected" message,

If the phone rings and the Caller ID is unknown, pick the phone and immediately hang up (thus completing the call) before the spammer or his Robbo machine has a chance to. They will then, at least, get charged for making a call and you will not have to speak to the unknown pest. It seems if you do this enough times they get the message and stop calling since they get charged for the call.

Got a call from this number -- didn't recognize it so let it go to voice mail. Of course, no message left. I have the "Whitepages Caller ID" app on my phone and when you block a number there, you have the option of sending all blocked numbers either directly to voice mail or to hang up without ringing. I have mine set so that all blocked numbers are immediately hung up on ... no more problems.
