Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center reminding you of an appointment to donate blood, or to thank you for a previous donation. If you feel you're being harassed, just answer the call and politely request to be taken off the donar list. This isn't a credit card company so there's no reason to be nasty. We're all just trying to save lives, and, who knows, it might be tomorrow that you need it.
Keep getting these calls - very annoying!!! And there is no one to call back to tell them to take my number off!!!
I donated once for a particular person for an emergency situation on a Sunday, they were the only ones available. At the center, I asked them not to call me. I made a point of asking this. They called me when I was eligible again, I asked them to take me off their list because I donate regularly at another bloodbank. They called a few months later asking me to donate again. I informed them I had already donated for that period, and to take me off their list. They called AGAIN a few months later, I asked them to take me off their list, as I would not be going back to them. I have this conversation with them every few months, and they don't seem to listen. After putting up with this for over a year now, I do feel I have a reason to be short with them.
I donate through the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center and only get phone calls from them to remind me of my appointments. If you do not wish to receive their calls, you can call their customer service number (1-888-482-5663 or 713-790-1200) and request to not be contacted. You can also go to their website (www.giveblood.org), register (if you have enough details) and change your contact preferences to opt out (or just change your phone number to something else).
I get this call every day. I have asked that they not call our home but apparently, the Blood Center is not giving the message to these solicitors.
I've never donated to the blood center. Have had this phone less than two years and I don't give my number to just anyone, and that includes my in-laws.
My cell phone number used to belong to a lady in Texas, and I get occasional calls for her such as this one, which I have now received three times, even after asking for them to remove my number. I am living in Vermont now, and it is impossible for me to donate to this center, yet they keep calling my number, even after I told them all this.
It is Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center, have been calling me for years like a bleeping creditor...I will never donate blood again if they don't STOP calling me. You have to call one of the actual Blood Center sites and tell them how you are being hounded. The nice lady admitted to me that they give the phone numbers to a 'telemarketing type' firm, she said she would request to take my number off.
