I answered, they tried telling me that they were given my phone number because I was interested in a quote for car insurance... I don’t even have a car, more or less car insurance... when I started questioning them, they had vague answers. They finally just hung up because they knew I wasn’t falling for their scam.

We receive calls at our place of business from these people every day and they claim to be with Spectrum. It sounds like a call center in India; noisy background noise and each person who calls has a strong accent.

Evidently gets next if kin names from obituaries and calls them all, over and over. Will not say what they are calling about until you give birthdate and ssn of the deceased.
