They have been calling for weeks here. No one is usually on the other end, today some one was. He said he had my name from member services on a credit card and that they were going to send 60 issues of a magazine. He asked which credit card I used and I told him cash, he argued for a long time that a must use a card. Then he asked me what my job was and I told him a mother, he also argued about this and finally hung up.
I missed the call and had no clue on the area code as I was trying to figure out if I should call back I found this site and am thankful for all the info provided!!
they called 2 days ago and they say that i won 1000$ .. they say that there gonna mail the gift card and they say its free and u can buy any thing u want fom that sit.
They have called 3 times in the last week and ask for my husband by name. Every other time I said he was at work and they said they would try back. Today I asked if I could take a message and they said they were just calling to say thanks and would call back another time and hung up before I could ask any other questions. I got curious so I went online and typed in the number and found this page. Will be telling my husband not to talk with them when he comes home tonight and if i answer when they call back I won't be so nice!!
I just received a call from this number and decided to answer ... no one would talk ... i started to dial back and cut it off ... it is probably some scam or sales person. i normally don't answer calls that i don't recognize the area code. hope you catch up with this person who has nothing better to do.
Got a call from All Star Public (on the caller ID)today. The guy asked if (my name) was home and I said yes this is him. He asked if my address is still the same (he read my address to me). And I said who is this? Then he proceeded to tell me that beacause I have done so well with the payments on one of my credit cards that the credit card company would like to thank me by sending me 60 free magazines. I told him I didn't want them and he said they are free and it doesn't matter if I read them or like them or want them, they (his company I guess)were told to send them so he just needs to verify my address. He asked if it is still my adress and like a dummy I hesitantly said "yeesss" and he immediately hung up. He never asked for any credit card numbers or info though. Does anyone out there think I should be concerned? Also I think it's probably "All Star Publications" trying to show up on the caller ID. I did a Google on it though and it doesn't exist or have a website. Superior, WI is where the number originates.
I have made both my voice answering messages for my cell and home phone very non-informational. No name, no number, Just "Hi, wait for the beep, you know what to do..." I don;t get more than 3 phone calls from these telemarketers now. I also get the ones from the "Pharmacies" wanting to send my "refill" for $500...they know my medications, my tests I've had done and THAT freaks me out....I wonder if people use my info to get drugs...I am getting rid of the cell phone and buying a pre-paid for my daughter and I for emergencies. My doctors switched to putting my info on a laptop and not in my little folder with the colored tabs...makes it personal Anyway, I am not one of those people who need a phone in their ear 24/7....I like to talk in person. Now that I have grandbabies and I am off for the summer, which is about to come to a close, I don't have time to chat on the phone....My advice is, don't pick up and don't let them know it is you...I would love to know how they get EITHER number...they are not listed!
Called and then hung up when I answered. Recalling the number leads to a full mailbox.
