I did not answer the call for a second time today, the caller ID says it is 'Financial Knowl'. There has been a high volume of phone SCAM traffic starting this year. Many say they can lower the interest rates due to some new government regulation. Smells like a total scam. All robo-calls should be first viewed as a SCAM. Also going around are the Home Security type of scams using 3rd party Robo callers for them.If you are curious and actually 'talk' to a human, mention the fact that you 'Have No Debt.' for the first type of scammer. And for the later mention that you 'Already have a wonderful Security System installed in my home.'(None of their business who it is.)It is a laugh that people call back these scam numbers and think that by pressing a number on your phone that you might actually be taking yourself off of their calling list.... Ha. You have just updated your records with the scammers and have proven that you are at home/on cell phone, and are paying attention to them. Now they know when to call you.

Have received a 7 calls in 3 days, no one spoke when I answered the call the second time. Have ignored it since then.

I have been getting calls from this number for about 2 weeks now. Normally twice a day. My phone rings 4 times before the machine gets it. I don't bother waiting for the machine. I simply hit answer then hit end call. I hang up on everyone who calls me from an unsolicited business. If it's a "charity" I'll let the machine get it. I don't trust the "remove your name from our list" and I'm starting to think the "Do not call list" is a joke because it hasn't stopped these idiots from calling. If anything I bet someone out there is making a quick buck off our phone numbers.Also, if you notice when you grocery shop, or go to retailers, they ask you for your number "for location reasons" never give it to them! If you are too nice to say no, then say you don't have a phone, seems to work for me!

www.donotcall.gov is the link to sign up and/or report abuse. I followed the link to a short form which I filled in and submitted against these annoying 'intruders'. Everyone, please do the same - only took about 3 minutes.

Financial Knowledge Network - they called from 727-260-5510 "Financial Knowl"Woman named Tanika Sowell called. Asked if I had gotten their letter promising to lower my credit card rate. Asked me how much debt I had, I said I didn't know, but to make the numbers easy to calculate, use $10,000. She said they could save me $5,200 by getting the bank to lower my rate. Their phone is 1-877-572-4661. Says banks have lost 20% of their card customers because of the economy and credit card rates. They are now willing to work with Financial Knowledge Network to lower rates for their card customers who make their payments on time. I gave her my card's bank name and card type and the 800 number on the back of my card. When she asked for my card number, I told her no. Her supervisor Alan Darulla got on the phone and told me that Federal law protected me from any charges on my card that I didn't make; that the credit card company had to remove them from my card within 72 hours. I insisted I wouldn't give them the card number until I checked them out, and he laughed and said goodbye.

I JUST GOT A ROBOT CALL ASKING IF I WANTED MY CREDIT CARD INTEREST RATES LOWERED AND IF SO PUSH NINE.I PUSHED NINE AND GOT A CALLING CENTER. THE ACCENT WAS VERY VEILED BUT I DETERMINED IT TO BE FROM THE INDIAN SUBCONTINENT.THE GENTLEMAN ASKED ME IMMEDIATELY FOR MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER. I ASKED WHO HE WAS AND WHERE HE WAS FROM. HE SAID HE WAS CALLING FROM EXPERIAN AND HE COULD GET MY CARD INTEREST DOWN. I ASKED HIM WHY EXPERIAN WAS INTERESTED IN LOWERING RATES AND WHAT EXPERIAN GOT OUT OF THIS. THE CALLER TOLD ME THAT THEY GET $1560.00 FROM THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY FOR LOWERING THE RATES. I ASKED HIM WHY A CREDIT CARD COMPANY WOULD PAY THEM TO LOWER INTEREST RATES. HE REPLIED THAT HE WASN'T ASKING FOR MY SECURITY CODES, FOR MY DOB, MY DRIVERS LICENCE OR MY MOTHER'S MAIDEN NAME. I COULD TELL THAT THE CALLS WERE VERY SCRIPTED AND I COULD HEAR MANY PEOPLE IN THE CALL CENTER. I FINALLY JUST HUNG UP ON HIM.

I am sick and tired of getting these calls in the afternoon. How do I stop it?????

I received a call from this number today and was asked if I had received letters in the mail regarding lowering my interest rates because I was in good standing with my Visa/Mastercard. (I said I wasn't certain.) She asked me if I was Elsie **** (I stupidly replied, "yes".) The female caller prodded me on my debt status which raised red flags with me. I politely told her I would not discuss my finances with her, but would look through my mailings to see if I had received any offers. She was pleasant and the phone call ended. As of this point in time, no follow-up phone calls have been received. It is pretty well known that if you, yourself, don't generate the phone calls to business/financial/banking institutions, you should not divulge any information about yourself to incoming callers. Call back a listed number (not one given over the phone) to verify that the contact is a legitimate one. If this company keeps this up, I will be reporting the number to the government site.
