I keep getting calls from "Dealer Services" at 732-807-5611 who ask for my teenage daughter (I will callher "Beth"). I finally began telling them that I am "Beth". As soon as I tell them I am the person they want to talk to... they hang up. When I try to return the call to have my number removed from the calling list, it will not even ring. I am not certain what kind of shady operation this is, but it is most certainly not someone I would do any kind of business with under any circumstances!
JUST GOT A CALL FORM THIS ONE AT 1:28 PM EASTERN TIME IN OHIO.I NEVER PICK UP THE PHONE IF I DON'T RECONIZE THE NUMBERWITH A SCAM LIKE THIS, THEY MAY BE DOING A THREE WAY CALL WITH A COMPANY ON THE OTHER END BECAUSE IF THEY ASK FOR THE PERSON AND THE PERSON REPLIES "YES THAT IS ME", YOU MIGHT GAVE AUTHORZATION TO DO SOMETHING.
The company in question is LIBERTY AUTO PROTECTION, and they defiantly violate do not call. They are trying to sell extended auto warranties. Obviously with the number of complaints against this company / number they really irk a lot of people. It is based out of New Jersey, and operates under numerous business aliases including Dealer Services, American Mercury, Warranty World, etc. The CEO of the company is Michael Shaftell. Surprisingly this "business" is BBB Accredited (with an A+ rating -- but companies PAY for such accreditation). Armed with this information, I believe a formal complaint is in order. Not with the BBB, but with my state's Attorney General.
I just got one today but didn't answer. I'm up in Flagstaff. So this is bogus I assume?
Watch out, as soon as I answered "yes this is him" they hung up.Might be looking for some kind of approval for a scam.

This company needs to be reported and taken out of service. Call twice a day. Do not take no for an answer. Do not respect the Do Not Call request.
They have called me 30 times,in the last 3 months. I have spoken to 6 "managers", explained this was a co-signed loan for my son, who no longer owns the car. Was assured I would not be called. Got another call today, asked for their address, was asked why, said I am turning them over to my attorney. Was told go ahead...do what you have to do... This is no bordering on harassment.......

called and then hung up, left him a kurt voicemail about wasting peoples time. scammers are prevalent, be careful and don't answer this call

It is a legit PNC Bank phone no. I wrote out a $12000. check and they called to verify and had the last 3 digits of checking acct. on message.
