Legitimate research company, Schlesinger & Associates. I've done surveys with them for years, it's not a scam, telemarketer or anything bad. Sometimes they call, but don't leave a message if no one answers, they move on to next qualifier.

It's Schelsinger Associates. I do studies with them in Los Angeles, and they also hold offices on the east coast. The number is automated and done through a system. They are legit. Great focus groups. Pay well. Cash.

They aren't telemarketers. You or someone with your phone number must register with their site and then take a questionnaire to qualify for a SCREENING. If you pass the SCREENING over the phone, then you get to do the focus group and actually get paid. Legitimate and fun and not a scam. --Love, Carl 2

This is the number for Schlessinger Associates. They are a research firm -- they pay you for market research. They would only call you if you registered with them.

I heard them say "HI .. " then my name, then I could barely hear anything ...sounded like someone purposely whispering ... and honestly it was a little scary.

I had registered with Schlessinger Associates, this is indeed the # that shows up when you get a call from them.This is from their Edison office on Parsonage Road, near Menlo Park Mall.
