I refuse to answer any calls from Michigan. Why are they calling? I'm on the Do Not Call registry.

I am on the boat with everyone else. I have received a few calls from this number and in turn I get no response, no answer. So if anyone comes within range of who it is and what can be done, I'm open for any suggestions. Thanks.

Always get calls, no one answers. Told them not to call anymore. They still do.

This shows up as Ann Arbor on my caller ID with the number 713-890-9607. No message, no nothing, This is the first call I have gotten from this number.

I keep getting messages on my answering machine every couple of days where the telephone is ringing on the answering machine and then a recording that says if you like to make a call please hang up and call again. If you are still having problems, contact you telephone representative. When I do a *69 to see who called was the number 734-369-9220 comes up. I feel like someone is trying to use my phone to make other phone calls. I do not understand it all. I am not in any type of collection problem, but since there is no real message but the one stated I have no idea why these calls. I feel like I am being used or harrassed.What gives?

Most likely you are getting calls from an automatic dialing machine. If the machine reaches an answering machine, the people behind the calls know that this is a valid number. Eventually, a real person will call you. This saves the caller a lot of wasted time calling endless nonworking numbers. Caller I.D. is the most useful feature that you could have. You can avoid answering unknown numbers. I know it may seem to be time-consuming, but you might find it useful to keep a record of when the calls come in. I keep a notebook nearby and write down the date, time and number. It will provide a record that will be useful when you make an official complaint. It's proof (aka documentation) of the exact nature of the harassment.
