Called landline. Left no message. CID Norfolk VA. We NEVER answer ANY unsolicited call. Anyone we want to donate to, do business with or use their service, we can research and make an educated choice. We need no cold caller, probably a scammer, calling us for any reason.
When I get a call like this that I don't recognize from another state, I let it go to missed call. If they leave a message I listen. If not I search the number and usually find out it's a non-profit scam. Then, I put it on the auto reject list. Many times I have to reject a sequence of numbers from the same Fn place. This one is a scam.
caller ID says simply 'Virginia'. I doi not give out my cell number to anyone except family and close friends so, the state of Virginia doesn't have it and neither does any charity from Virginia. It is an unwanted call so I hung up on them while it rang (again).
Va donor services (Now they changed their name to green drop trucking) picks up donated items for The Purple Heart, sells them inter thrift stores and gives a VERY VERY small percentage to the actual charity
the va office calls NY state also.. they have a guy that goes around up there.. their main facility is in MD - thats where everything goes to.

It is a legit PNC Bank phone no. I wrote out a $12000. check and they called to verify and had the last 3 digits of checking acct. on message.
