Nothing will happen if you don't pay them. They will be in massive trouble if you pursue legal action against them, however. I recommend that you do that. It's not hard: You might get an ambitious law-clerk do it for you for free or near-free. GO FOR IT. YOU GO!

I have been receiving voice messages from them on and off for a few weeks.. I called them told them to stop calling me.. and hung up ......they immediately called back... I recorded the call and told them I was recording it and told them not to call me again.....Thing is -- I have no bad credit and no reason for any debt collectors to be calling me. If they are looking for someone - that is not my problem .. If they are stupid enough to buy up old debts that others obviously couldn't collect but they think they can....I hope they never get the money. Obviously they are not making any money .... have you seen the website?.. It is one of those FREE make it yourself jobs that looks REALLY unprofessional....I can't believe any respectable company would be dealing with them which is why I am sure they buy some other collection company unclaimed debts for probably next to nothing.... Sad way to make a living.

Precisely. Real investigators have no need to utilise threats. They investigate and get things done when they have the facts needed. Also, real investigators tend to be more intelligent than the humanoid who threatened you, and as such, they rarely identify themselves as investigators. That would be a self-defeating tactic for a real investigator, after all: It blows her/his cover.Don't let the slime-collectors scare you. They've got no claws. And now, they're desperate because their overlords, the banks, are crumbling. So kick back, enjoy the beverage of your choice (unless during work hours, heheh), and have a heart laugh.

Received a call from a man who said he was INSPECTOR PAUL MARTIN from RNE (R&E Investigative Department) and call was similar to another's here! I finally picked up as it sounded dire....Ha Ha, fooled me (but only for a few seconds). "XXXXX, I HAVE A SITUATION THAT NEEDS YOUR IMMEDIATE ATTENTION!! GIVE ME A CALL AT 678-666-1451. (Still have most of his recorded msg on machine until I picked up)When he asked for my sister-in-law who happens to be in extreme debt due to HER own mismanagement (she has worked 2 to 3 job for at least 20 years and made good $$s). I said I have nothing to do with her and if they were trying to collect a debt, stop calling me as I haven't seen/heard from her for a very long time and we have nothing to do with her or her debt. He INSISTED it wasn't about 'debt collecting', but obviously after researching here, it definitely was. I also told him I would NOT pass on the msg because sometimes people have to 'hit bottom' before they MAY become aware and change. He wasn't necessarily rude, but tried to come off as an official authority...KNOW that the phone # is different than the one here, but same tactics, etc. See above for other # "Investigator Paul Martin" left for me to pass on
